Privacy Statement

The Health Financial Management Association (HFMA) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information.

HFMA may use the personal information you provide to:
  • process your application for membership of HFMA
  • record your membership details and profile information
  • manage your membership of HFMA
  • ensure you comply as a member with HFMA's Constitution
  • conduct market research to identify and analyse the ongoing needs of HFMA members
  • provide you with access to and information about a range of current and future membership benefits
  • administer your enrolments with HFMA events and online learning
  • notify you about HFMA events
  • send you publications and emails
  • aggregate and use for internal review to analyse trends and statistics.
HFMA may disclose the personal information you provide to:
  • education providers involved with or engaged by HFMA
  • financial institutions for payment processing
  • HFMA members and users on the HFMA Online Forum
  • HFMA's contracted service providers, including:
  • professional conference organisers;
  • information technology service providers;
  • external business advisers (such as auditors and lawyers);
  • Customer Relationships Management database provider.


HFMA will not disclose your personal information to any third party unless stated above. All third-party correspondence and promotions are coordinated and sent out by HFMA and HFMA suppliers.

Payments

HFMA processes membership and other payments using eway and online technologies. All transactions processed by HFMA meet industry security standards to protect member details and payments.


Code of Conduct

As a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), I agree to:

  1. Act with integrity, honesty, and professionalism in all my professional activities.
  2. Maintain and enhance my professional knowledge and skills.
  3. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.
  4. Respect confidentiality and privacy rights, protecting sensitive information.
  5. Treat all individuals with dignity, respect, and fairness, regardless of their background.
  6. Avoid conflicts of interest or disclose them when unavoidable.
  7. Promote fair and ethical business practices in all professional dealings.
  8. Refrain from any form of discrimination, harassment, or bullying.
  9. Use HFMA resources responsibly and for their intended purposes.
  10. Report any violations of this Code of Conduct that I observe.

You have the right to access or correct any personal information which HFMA holds about you (subject to any applicable legal exceptions) and should contact admin@hfma.org.au
